Hi Todd
Thanks for your question
Yes you are right Track Lighting comes in 2 different systems. Single circuit and three circuit
Single circuit means when you switch the track lighting on, all lights come on together. Three circuit means you can have 3 switches and you can control the circuits individually. There are 3 tracks within a track so depending on which track you clip the light into - depends on which circuit it is controlled by at the switch
There are some other differences. The Trex three circuit track lighting system and the lights that attach to it are commercially rated unlike the single track system which is not warranted in commercial situations. The range of lights available for each system are completely different and as such the lights are not compatible between systems
I hope that this clarifies the difference between track light systems for you.
Should you require any further info please dont hesitate to contact me
Kind regards
Daniel
