L.E.D (Light Emitting Diodes) are only a few millimeter in length but they are packed with major technological benefits, making them a real alternative to conventional lamps.
LED's aren't in fact a lamp at all - but a semiconductor that converts electricity directly into light. It is for this reason that the life of a LED is so long - sometime hundreds of thousands of hours.
